our philosophy

When kids play sports, they learn how to work together, follow directions and socialize with others. Kids In Sports promotes the idea that athletics, when taught correctly, can improve a child’s overall development and provide lasting benefits that go beyond the game.

Our customized multi-sports program has been designed to equip children with greater life skills, helping them find early success so that they can grow up happy, healthy, confident and more prepared for the future ahead.

Our philosophy

our difference

Developed by educators, Kids In Sports is a proprietary sports curriculum teaching multi-sports classes, rather than just one specific sport.

With a 1 to 5 coach to kid ratio, instructors are able to introduce children to a range of team based sports that are age appropriate and help build necessary developmental skills for every age level.

Owners

our history

Kids In Sports was founded in 1999 by Michael Strutt & Kenneth Colon. Both former collegiate sports athletes, Mike and Kenny hold degrees in Physical Education and Exercise Physiology. In addition to teaching, they’ve also worked professionally as accredited Personal Trainers and Coaches.

Together, they developed Kids In Sports to help younger children learn the fundamentals of sports, along with coordination, adaptability and improved social skills.

After many years of teaching Kids In Sports classes, Mike and Kenny have expanded their business and now handle all the day-to-day operations and management. They oversee a staff of trained educators, who have had the privilege of teaching thousands of children through this proprietary program.
